Karoline Margrethe Rossen (nee Ostheim genannt Christ) and Rosa Johansen (nee Christiansen
According to living relatives (2015) then this picture was taken when the 2 sisters met for the fist time after they were separated from each other at young age. Both ended up at foster parents after their mother died at young age, Karoline was 1½ years old and Rosa was just about to celebrate her 3rd birthday. Their father Friedrich Emil Ostheim genannt Christ left them at relatives of their mother.
NOTE: Both are wearing identical necklaces. Maybe a kind of reunion gift?
