Notes - Harriet M. Klotz, 63, of 602 N. Franklin, Ludington, died unexpectedly Dec. 24 at Memorial Medical Center.
Harriet was born to Clarence and Bertha (Christensen) Madsen June 5, 1939 in Scottville. She attended school in Ludington, graduating with the class of 1957.
She was married on Sept. 13, 1958 in Ludington to Charles W. Klotz and he survives.
Harriet retired from Nordlund and Associates in 2001 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed landscaping, gardening, traveling and taking care of her pets. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Charles W. (and Kenda) Klotz of Jenison and Thomas (and Darlene) Klotz of Hudonsville; three daughters, Dawn M. McHale of New York City, Jennifer H. Klotz of Grand Rapids and Shelly M. (and Douglas) Havera of Kalamazoo; and five grandchildren, Charles (Chad) Klotz, Katelyn A. Klotz, Emily M. Klotz, Allison M. Havera and Melanie A. Havera. Also surviving is a brother, Raymond C. Madsen of Riverton, Conn.; one aunt, Gerda Schaap of Ludington, and many cousins.
Funeral services for Harriet M. Klotz will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at the Bethany Lutheran Church with the Rev. B. Douglas Niemi officiating. The family will receive friends at the Dorrell Funeral Home this evening from 6-8 and on Saturday at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be directed to the Bethany Lutheran Church.
