| Gerhardt Rossen Birth and baptism record from The Danish Church Books
Nr. Løgum Sogn, 1945
Very interesting is the person beneath Gerhardt on the record. It´s a little girl named Monika Heidemarie Doliwa. She was born at Niels Rossen´s farm on 27 Apr 1945 and baptized 2 days later at the farm, together with Gerhardt. Monika´s mother Else Margarethe Doliwa was an unmarried refugee from Insterburg, East Prussia/Germany. Monika unfortunately died a few months after her birth in a refugee camp at Oksbøl. 2 of her baptism sponsors were Niels Rossen and his wife Karoline Margrethe (nee Ostheim genannt Christ) |

| Slægtsbogen Rossen, page 1 This genealogi booklet was done/written by Thyge Truelsen Thyssen, son of Truels Andersen Thyssen and Cathrine Nielsen Rossen. Cathrine is a 1st cousin of my great-grandfather Jens Andersen Rossen. It is written in German, probably in the mid 1930s. It gives a good overview of the Rossen heritage and actually confirms much of what I have found out in my research. |
