MADISON - Burdette O. Biddick, formerly of Madison, age 97, passed away on May 11, 2009, in Florence, Ky.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1911, in Livingston, the son of Adolphus and Amelia (Kamm) Biddick. Mr. Biddick was a teacher and assistant principal in Cottage Grove. He worked in the Research Department of Oscar Mayer for 30 years. He will be lovingly remembered for his principles, kindness, devotion to family, and sense of fun.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lucile Biddick (nee Fleming); his children, David (Carole) Biddick of Kewaunee, Larry Biddick of Madison, Linda (Roger) Nace of Phoenix, Ariz., and Barbara (Gerald) Johnson of Florence, Ky.; grandchildren, Deborah (Thomas) Hohner, Kimberly (Tony) Frakes, Brandon (Patricia) Biddick, Jacqueline (John) Coluccy, Brett (Gwen) Johnson and Kirstin (Tony) Coleson; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service held on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at BASHFORD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 329 North St., Madison, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Fran Deaner and Pastor Richard Ferris officiating. A private inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in Madison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Burdette's name may be made to Bashford United Methodist Church.
