- OTTAWA — Kathleen Holm, 92, of Ottawa, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 5, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Garry Briesacher, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.
Kathleen was born on May 23, 1919, in Ottawa, to Harold and Sadie (Friestad) Fosse. She was a registered nurse at Ryburn Hospital, Pleasant View and Ottawa Public Schools.
She married Melvin W. Holm on May 3, 1946, in Sycamore. He died on April 22, 2005. Kathleen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Emmett) Bowles of Louisville, Ky., and Martha (Charles) Black of Seneca; two sons, Alan (Shirley) Holm of Lancaster, Pa., and Peter L. (Helen) Holm of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Anita Hagelin, Nathan, Ben, Matthew and Joshua Holm, Beau Beguin, Sara Countryman and Connor and Katie Kennedy; three great-grandchildren, George Holm, Olivia Beguin and Shawn Hagelin; one sister, Monica Howell of Olympia, Wash.; and two brothers, William (Ruth) Fosse of Evansville, Ind., and Maurice Fosse of Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Mary Kennedy; and two sisters, Marilynn Smith and Phyllis Bohannon.
