- Kenneth L Mercer, age 71, born in Curtis, NE on September 13, 1946, the son of Kelly & Evelyn Mercer, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Carrollton, TX.
A Celebration Service will be held on Sunday, February 4th from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM at the Marriott Courtyard Dallas Carrollton and Carrollton Conference Center, 1201 Raiford Road, Carrollton, Texas, 75007.
Ken grew up in Curtis, NE where he graduated from the University Of Nebraska School Of Agriculture. He graduated from Kearney State College, Kearney, NE. Ken married Teri Bauer (Hirschbrunner) in 1968 and they had three daughters, Stephanie, Kelli and Jennifer. He lived in Nebraska until 1981, when he moved to Texas.
Ken gave his life to Jesus on April 1, 1983 and loved the Lord with all his heart. He always said he was a fool for Christ. In 1985 he married Glenda Cox who had two daughters, Natalie and Jaclyn. He was a faithful husband, and devoted father and adoring “Papa/grandpa”. Ken loved his church family and was always willing to serve.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his daughter, Stephanie.

Grandchildren: Brett Soulliere; Madelyn and Ella Arriola; Sophie, Frannie, and Isabel Kiser; Avery Hall and Lyla Lumpkin; Hunter Sims and Annabelle Neyra
