- Margery M. Lehman, 80, of North Platte, died April 29, 2006, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 13, 1926, to Carl W. and Sigrid M. Jepsen Nelsen in Curtis. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis and received her teaching certificate and taught in several rural schools, including schools in Lincoln County. She was principal at both the North Platte Opportunity Center and the Educational Service Unit 16. In October 1943, she was united in marriage to William H. Lehman. Mrs. Lehman was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and also several professional organizations. Survivors include her son, Michael C. Lehman of North Platte; a sister, Helen A. Ewald of Curtis; four nieces Karen (Jerry) Lehman, Ann (Patrick) Hagen, Jo Ellen (Rod) Jurgens, and Mary K. (Dennis) Peterson; and a nephew, Lynn A. (Patty) Ewald. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Mark Carl; a nephew, Bill Ewald; a brother-in-law, James Ewald; and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Dorothy Andersen. A memorial has been established. Online condolences maybe shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Deardorff officiating. Burial will be in Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte.
