He was born Feb. 15, 1898, in Curtis, Neb., and came to this area 24 years ago from Wooster, Ohio. He was a retired farmer and a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church of Bradenton.
Survivors include his wife, Mable; a daughter, Lois Haines of Myakka City; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, South Chapel, with services to follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ellenton
