  Loren R. Jorgensen, 87, of North Platte, formerly of Curtis, Nebraska, died October 28, 2015 at Linden Court in North Platte, NE.   He was born October 30, 1927 in Curtis, NE, son of Jorgen Peter and Anna (Jepsen) Jorgensen.  Loren graduated from UNSA in Curtis in 1945.   Loren lived at Curtis until he went into the Army.  He was stationed in Japan during his service.  He married Lorraine Stohlmann on October 4, 1952 at Van Nuys, CA. They lived in North Hollywood until 1954 when they returned to Curtis with their son Michael. Children Bill and Sue were born after the return to Curtis.  Loren was a farmer and carpenter for many years.  In 2011, they moved to Linden Court in North Platte. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.  He enjoyed playing Pinochle and Pitch, reading Louis L?Amour Books and other Western books.  He especially loved going down each morning for coffee with his friends where they played the ?number? game.  Survivors include two sons, Mike (Julie) Jorgensen of Roca, NE, Bill (Tracey Boren) Jorgensen of Lewellen, NE; daughter, Sue (Tom) Garner of Lincoln, NE; six granddaughters, Lisa Jorgensen, Vicki (Byron) Belding, Sara (Christopher) Vincent, Mary (Fabian) Medina, Lauren Garner, Raenea Jorgensen; two grandsons, Jon (Tiffany) Jorgensen, Brandon (Rachael) Garner; four great-grandsons, Greyson Belding, Evan Belding, Ira Jorgensen, Caellum Vincent; great-granddaughter, Lavona Jorgensen; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.  Loren was preceded in death by wife of 60 years, Lorraine Jorgensen in 2012; his parents; two brothers Harold and Vern Jorgensen; sister, Erma Taylor. Visitation will be held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Nebraska; Sunday, November 1, 2015, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church 504 Wallace, Curtis, NE, Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:30 am with Rev. Derrick Brown officiating.   Interment will follow in the Curtis Cemetery, Curtis, Nebraska.
