- LANDT, Christine Sue (Steelhammer) "Christy" Christy passed away February 1st, 2010, just as she had lived her life; surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 15, 1950 to Page and Margaret Steelhammer at Centralia, WA. Attended school in Centralia and graduated from WSU in 1972. Christy loved gardening (and was a WSU Master Gardener) farming, quilting and playing with her children and later grandchildren. As a dairy farmer, she had no time to go on vacation, so she turned her yard into a park. She was equally at home riding horses, digging in dirt or leading a meeting. After retiring from the dairy at age 50, she went back to school and became a Certified Public Accountant. Christy is survived by her parents at the farm in Centralia, siblings Greg (Mary) at Las Vegas, Norman (Ilona) and Gail (Jerry) at Centralia. She leaves her husband and best friend of 37 years Steve, three sons; Ty, Nick (Shannon) and Ross (Debbie), nine grandchildren, and many other beloved family members and friends. Christy was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all. She will be remembered for her smile that lit up her whole face, her positive attitude and her cheerful, sunny disposition. The family is anticipating a memorial service later this spring, May 1st, 2010
