• Notes

  Så er vi fremme ved den sidste gård i Hornse. Det er et koloniststed, som er oprettet i 1760'erne. Den første familie hed Kraus. I 1908 blev gården købt af Lütje Christiansen, men samme år brændte den i et tordenvejr. Der var lyng så langt øjet ragte, kun ca. 15 hektar var opdyrket. På gården var der fire fem køer og en hest. Først i 1950'erne fik gården elektricitet. Derfor købte Hans Christiansen i 1940'erne en brugt vindmølle hos Lomholt i Fogderup, den skulle trække kværnen. Lütje Christiansen's, Hornsevej 16 (Nu Martin Christiansen). Hornse og Høgsholt hørte sammen i en kommune, så skete der et dødsfald skulle det meddeles både i Hornse og Høgsholt. Det var skikken at en nabo skulle gå rundt fra gård til gård og byde til begravelse
