Harold Jorgensen, 95, of Curtis, passed away Nov. 16, 2012, at Linden Court in North Platte.Harold was born on Nov. 5, 1917, in Curtis, to Jorgen Peter and Anna (Jepsen) Jorgensen. Harold attended school in Curtis graduating from UNSA High School in 1936. Following high school Harold entered the U.S. Army, attending Officers Training School and then served his country from 1941-45 in WWII, earning a purple heart after he was wounded in combat. Following his service to his country as a 2nd Lieutenant he returned to the Curtis area where he farmed and ranched.
Harold married Margaret Johnson on Aug. 1, 1942, at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.His family was the joy of his life, which was demonstrated through his deep and unconditional love. He was a loyal neighbor and friend. He looked at his farm and cattle as pleasure rather than work. He regularly took enjoyable drives through pastures and fields with family and neighborhood friends. He was an active member of the American Legion, Nebraska Beef Council, National Cattleman's Association, the Toastmasters Association and Lions club. He served on several boards including Curtis Co-op, Farm Bureau, Board of Education, the Board of Elections and the Curtis Telephone Co. Harold was also active in the young farmer veterans organization and 4-H, where he served as the leader for many years. He is survived by his son, Richard (Sharon) Jorgensen, of Curtis; his daughters, Ann Jeanette (Jim) Deidel, of North Platte, Gwen Nickerson, of Curtis, and Diane Walsh, of Cozad; grandsons, Mark (Lanis) Jorgensen, Matt (Trisha) Jorgensen, Steve Strawn, John (Susan) Robinson, Jeff (Kathy) Robinson, Darren (Jennifer) Robinson, Tim (Danelle) Nickerson, Ryan Walsh; and granddaughters, Lori (Mike) Mortensen, Amy (Brandon) Jahnke, Mary (Shawn) Overton, Angela (Cory) Nida, Stacie (Kevin) Owens; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Loren (Lorraine), of North Platte; his sister, Erma Taylor, of Casper, Wyo.; and a host of other family and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; his parents; his brother, Vern Jorgensen; grandson, Steven Jorgensen; and son-in-law, Joe Nickerson.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Curtis with the Rev. Derrick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Curtis Cemetery.

Funeral services for Erma Taylor will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor John Hill officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Casper.

Mrs. Taylor, 93, passed away February 5, 2014 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper following a short illness. She was born March 15, 1920 in Lincoln County, Nebraska. She graduated high school.

Mrs. Taylor enjoyed playing cards and loved to laugh; she found humor in many things.

She is survived by daughter, Elaine Clough of Beaverton, OR, daughter, Joann Watson of Casper, grandson John J. Cotton of Casper, granddaughter Lisa Hamilton of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, grandson Brian Box of Cheyenne, grandson Richard Clough of Beaverton, OR, and  grandson, Clayton Clough of Casper.  She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

The family would appreciate donations be given to Mount Hope Lutheran School.

CURTIS, NE. -- Vern Pete Jorgensen, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Nebraska.

He was born on March 15, 1924, to JP "Pete" and Anna Elsie (Jepsen) Jorgensen in Lincoln County, Nebraska.

He grew up in Lincoln County and attended school at Denmark School there. He also attended school at Liberty School and NSA.

He married Darlene Thayer in 1951 in McCook, Nebraska, and farmed south of Curtis for many years.

He drove the school bus for 20 years and served as a night police officer in Curtis, NE, from 1967 to 1970.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Connie Jacobs; and sister-in-law, Margaret Jorgensen.

Survivors include his daughter Linda Snyder (lee) of McCook, NE; a son-in-law, Rick Jacobs (Lois) of Lincoln, NE; two brothers, Harold Jorgensen, and Loren Jorgensen and wife, Lorraine all of Curtis, NE; one sister, Erma Taylor of Casper, WY; three grandchildren; and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be at St. John's Lutheran Church in Curtis, Nebraska, with the Rev. Paul Warneke officiating. Burial will be at the Curtis Cemetery.

Loren R. Jorgensen, 87, of North Platte, formerly of Curtis, Nebraska, died October 28, 2015 at Linden Court in North Platte, NE.  
He was born October 30, 1927 in Curtis, NE, son of Jorgen Peter and Anna (Jepsen) Jorgensen.  Loren graduated from UNSA in Curtis in 1945.  
Loren lived at Curtis until he went into the Army.  He was stationed in Japan during his service.  He married Lorraine Stohlmann on October 4, 1952 at Van Nuys, CA. They lived in North Hollywood until 1954 when they returned to Curtis with their son Michael. Children Bill and Sue were born after the return to Curtis.  Loren was a farmer and carpenter for many years.  In 2011, they moved to Linden Court in North Platte. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.  He enjoyed playing Pinochle and Pitch, reading Louis L?Amour Books and other Western books.  He especially loved going down each morning for coffee with his friends where they played the ?number? game. 
Survivors include two sons, Mike (Julie) Jorgensen of Roca, NE, Bill (Tracey Boren) Jorgensen of Lewellen, NE; daughter, Sue (Tom) Garner of Lincoln, NE; six granddaughters, Lisa Jorgensen, Vicki (Byron) Belding, Sara (Christopher) Vincent, Mary (Fabian) Medina, Lauren Garner, Raenea Jorgensen; two grandsons, Jon (Tiffany) Jorgensen, Brandon (Rachael) Garner; four great-grandsons, Greyson Belding, Evan Belding, Ira Jorgensen, Caellum Vincent; great-granddaughter, Lavona Jorgensen; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. 
Loren was preceded in death by wife of 60 years, Lorraine Jorgensen in 2012; his parents; two brothers Harold and Vern Jorgensen; sister, Erma Taylor.

Diane Lou was born December 25th 1949 to Harold and Margaret Jorgensen at Curtis, NE. She went to be with her Heavenly Father November 9, 2013.
Diane was a delightful child. She enjoyed life on the farm. Diane went to country school, District 73, until 6th grade. She then attended Curtis Elementary in 7th and 8th grade. She graduated high school in 1968 from UNSA. She was a sweet girl and received many honors being Home coming queen, a cheerleader, and 4H queens, etc. She had many friends and fond memories of her high school years. She was confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church.
Diane graduated from Kearney State College in 1972 and taught school for three years in North Platte.
She married Randy Walsh on June 19, 1973. This union was blessed with two children, Angela and Ryan, who were her pride and joy.
Diane suffered for many years as a result of a debilitating car accident in 1997.
She is survived by children Angela (Cory) Nida, Ryan Walsh and grandson, Cruz Nida, also brother Richard (Sharon) Jorgensen, sisters Ann Jeanette (Jim) Deidel, Gwen Nickerson, the wonderful nurses and caregivers at the Golden Living Center in Cozad, along with many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Margaret Jorgensen, nephew Steven Jorgensen, cousins, Jeanie Gilliland, Duane Gilliland, and Connie Jacobson, brother in law Joe Nickerson.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Nebraska; Tuesday, November 12, 2013 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Services will be held at Berean Bible Church, November 13, 2013 at 10:30 am with Pastor Brian Nicklas officiating.
