Notes - Joanne E. Chavez born 6/24/1931 pasted away peacefully in her sleep at home on 11/3/2019. Preceded in passing by her husband GySgt Paul E. Chavez (Together again) parents John and Eleanor Nissen, sister Karen Nissen Castronova.
Survived by her sons Edward and his wife Elaine Chavez of Graham, Wa. Son Raymond Chavez and his wife Diane Kazak of Rochester, N.Y. Niece Molly Arholdt of Chicago. 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Countless family and friends.
Retired civil service after 28 yrs. Was a past president of the Oceanside Emblem club. Past president of the Tri City Hospital Auxiliary where she achieved 10,000 hrs of volunteering. She was most proud of that. Final plans will be announced at a later time. She will be finally reunited with her Gunny at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
