WEST HAVEN - Barry Walter Holm, 56, of 65 Templeton St. died Tuesday at Yale New Haven Hospital. Mr. Holm, son of Walter H. and Betty Fowler Holm of West Haven, was born in New Haven Sept. 21, 1941. He served in the Connecticut National Guard for six years. He was a self-employed accountant and former comptroller for Ulrich Steel Co. of Wallingford. He was a member of Christ Church of West Haven and served as head usher at the church. Besides his parents, he leaves daughters, Kimberly Herard of East Haven and Jennifer Holm of Guilford; sons, Christopher Holm of Guilford and Jeffrey Holm of Atlanta; a brother, Peter Holm of West Haven; and one grandson. In Wallingford, April 15, 2003, Walter H. Holm, husband of Betty Fowler Holm of 4311 Ashlar Village, Wallingford. Father of Peter Holm of Easthampton, MA. Brother of Jean Valentine of Block Island, R.I. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Barry Holm and a sister, Mildred Collins. He was born in New Haven, July 10, 1916 son of the late Henry and Elizabeth MacKenzie Holm. He was a director for the former CT Medical Service and a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army. Mr Holm was also a member of the Masons and a former resident of West Haven. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Masonic Home Chapel, 3rd Floor, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford, CT. Sister of Dorothy Smith of Cheshire. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Barry Holm and a brother, Johnny Fowler. She was born in New Haven, May 29, 1916 daughter of the late Lester and Edith Fadden Fowler. She had worked as a secretary for the West Haven Schools prior to her retirement.
Memorial service will be held Thursday morning, May 15 at 10:30 at the Masonic Home Chapel, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford.
