Ethelyn (nee Heitman) Rossen, a resident of the Oakton Arms, Des Plaines, died on Dec. 25 in Lutheran General Hospital.
She was a resident of Park Ridge from 1954 to 1998. She was active in the Twentieth Century Juniors, Twentieth Century Club and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. She also was past president of the Park Ridge Historical Society and a key member of the Park Ridge Heritage Committee.
She worked as an audiologist in the late 1970s for the Village of Skokie and the state of Illinois.
Survivors include her children, Betsy Rossen Elliot and Roger (Patty) Rossen; and grandchildren, Miranda and Dana Elliot.
A memorial service was held on Dec. 29 at Drake and Son Funeral Home, Park Ridge. Burial was private.
Memorials to Children's Shriners Hospital, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, Ill., are appreciated.
